Theme: "Wisdom Can Be Seen And Heard"

By Pastor Chris

"And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment"- (1 Kings 3:28).

Until someone speaks or acts, you may not know he has the Spirit of wisdom, for wisdom can be seen and heard. This happened in Solomon’s day; they brought before him two women who lived in the same house. Both of them had just been delivered of their babies three days apart from each other. Unfortunately, on a certain night, one of the women slept over her son, and he died. On realizing she had accidentally killed her baby, she went over to her neighbour’s bed and switched the babies.

The other woman woke up the next morning to feed her baby, only to discover he was dead. She looked closely at the dead child and noticed it wasn’t hers. She went looking for her baby, and saw him with her room-mate. She tried to claim her child back, but a fight ensued. The matter was reported to King Solomon, and everyone wondered what he would do about it. No one else lived in the house with the women, so there were no witnesses.

The king wisely requested for a sword and ordered that the live baby be divided into two. The real mother cried out "No! Don’t kill him. I’d rather she takes the baby and nurture him," pointing to the other woman. However, the one that switched the babies, said, "Yes, kill him so he won’t belong to either of us." Solomon then stood up and said to the real mother, "This is your baby. Take him." The Bible says, "...all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment" (1 Kings 3:28). Wisdom, indeed, can be seen and heard.

Remember, Christ—the embodiment of wisdom—dwells in you and has imparted His nature of wisdom to you. The Spirit of wisdom that the Apostle Paul talked about in Ephesians 1:17 is in you. Even now, declare that the wisdom of God is seen and heard in you today, and that you’re propelled by wisdom to function in the perfect will of God.

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you for anointing my mind with divine wisdom to affect lives and bring solutions to dicey circumstances. I have the wisdom of the just, which propels me to function in God’s perfect will. I deal excellently in all my affairs, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
